    How do I sign up for Global Dealer?

    If you are already a customer of St.George Bank Treasury or St.George Bank Corporate then please contact your relationship manager.

    If you are not currently a St.George customer please call (02) 9320 5760 for further information or select "Contact Us" from the menu.

    How long does it take to become a user of Global Dealer?

    If you are already a customer of St.George Treasury then a log-on to the system can be arranged for you in a matter of days. In the majority of cases as a customer of St.George Treasury you will already have the necessary legal documentation in place and all you will need are a few additional items for logon to Global Dealer. Please call your relationship manager for details.

    Technical Requirements

     

    What type of hardware and software do I need in order to run Global Dealer?

    Global Dealer can be run in a standard browser such as Netscape 4.5 and above or Internet Explorer 4 and above.
    At a minimum you will require the following configuration:-

     
    • Pentium 166
    • 64 MB RAM
    • 10 MB free hard disk space
    • 28.8 kbps modem with Internet access
    • Windows '95 or Windows '98, or NT
    • Printer attached for printing deal summaries if required
     

    Our recommended configuration is as follows:-

     
    • Pentium II
    • 128 MB RAM
    • 10 MB free hard disk space
    • 56 kbps modem with Internet access
    • Windows NT 4.0
    • Printer attached for printing deal summaries if required
     

    The application can also run on a number of other platforms such as Unix. Please refer any questions regarding alternative platforms to your relationship manager.

    Availability

     

    What times of the day can I trade?

    Global Dealer is available Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm AEST excluding Sydney public holidays.

    FX Dealing Details

     

    Which currencies can I trade using the on-line trading system?

    30 currencies are available for trading on Global Dealer. You can select any of these currencies, provided that at least one of the currencies in the pair to be traded is either Australian dollars or US dollars.

    Can I view old trades?

    Yes. Using the Search facility within Global Dealer you can view all the trades you have entered into since April 1998. You can view all trades entered by St.George dealers on your behalf and deals that you have entered using Global Dealer. A full history of all trades that have been extended or pre-delivered can also be viewed.

    Which products and facilities are available on Global Dealer?

    The following services are available on Global Dealer:-

     
    • Enter new spot or forward FX trades.
    • View and sort existing trades previously entered via Global Dealer or by your St.George Foreign Exchange dealer.
    • Pre-deliver or extend an existing trade using the historical rate method.
    • Download additional applications to assist you in your foreign exchange risk management.
    • View the regular reports issued by St.George Bank's team of economists.

    How much does it cost?

     

    How much does it cost to transact via Global Dealer?

    There is no fee for transacting via Global Dealer apart from your usual Internet Access cost.

    Global Dealer is the first of a number of on-line trading services to be introduced by St.George. Over the next few months we will increase the range of products that can be traded on-line through our Global Dealer website.
